In some application pertaining to ETP / STP the solids after
filtration need to be further dewatered for reducing the moisture content. This
will help in getting better efficiency in incineration and easy transportation.
The V-SEP Dewatering Press has been developed for this application, which can be
coupled with the V-SEP Static screen or the V-SEP Rotary Drum so that the solids
coming out of these equipments can be further compressed and dewatered.
The V-SEP Dewatering Press consists of a shaft less screw for ideal transmission
of the solids into the compacting chamber, which is made-up of the Welded Wedge
wire Element. The compacting chamber is kept closed on one side by a spring
loaded flap, which opens only when the pressure of the solids inside the
compacting chamber exceeds the spring tension, thus discharging the compacted/
dewatered solids.
